Drainville started in 1978 with a Toronto Contractor's License pursuant to a Drain License Test at the Toronto City Hall. Focusing predominantly in commercial work, the company and its fleet of equipment grew rapidly.
From undergroud work, to commercial/institutional site work, Drainville undertook sewer and watermain projects that required heavy equipment and trucking including clear/grubbing, cut/fill , foundation excavation and parking lot stone laying and grading.
In the 80s & 90s , Drainville worked for Falco Properties; one of the largest builders of commercial unit building in Toronto, erecting 100,000+ FT2 buildings.
By 1985, as Retention Storm Systems were becoming more and more mandatory in the industry, Drainville completed 2 x 8' diameter underground retention Chambers for the Dorval Corporate Cente in Oakville.
In the 90s, with Mechanical Engineering studies, Drainville ventured into Road and Street Re-construction in several cities and townships: Toronto, Vaughan, Mississauga, Brampton, Pickering, Oakville, Halton & Burlington, Georgetown.
